The 2high Festival is a free, all age's event that takes over the Brisbane Powerhouse for one day each year. Known as Australia's one-of-a-kind multi-arts experience for young, emerging artists and arts practitioners; the 2high Festival provides a platform to support emerging artists and arts administrators to gain experience and exposure within their field. A not-for-profit event run by Backbone Youth Arts, the 2013 2high Festival held on the 2nd of November featured 130 artists, 20 bands, 16 theatre productions and celebrated the festival entering its 21st year.

In preparation for the 2013 2high Festival, a one-of-a-kind multi-arts festival supporting young and emerging artists and arts practitioners, The Party Before The Party 2high Festival Pre-event was a small sample event aimed at creating awareness and raising funds for the 2013 2high Festival. The event was held at The Rabbit Hole Ideation Café on Saturday the 12th of October 2013 and sponsored by Burleigh Brewing, Amadio Wines and The Iron Ladies. Guests enjoyed live music and a pop-up exhibition of local art which was accompanied by sangria and waffles.
